Description

A Speech-Language Pathologist in a school setting is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with communication disorders, speech disorders, language disorders, and related difficulties. The SLP works collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students in achieving their academic and social goals


Salary TBD based on Experience


Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. State licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in an educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.


Comments

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication and language disorders in students. Evaluate speech and language skills, oral-motor abilities, and fluency. Use standardized tests and informal assessments to gather information. Diagnosis: Determine the presence and nature of communication disorders. Develop an individualized diagnosis for each student. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results. Attend ARD meetings for Speech Students
