About Slocum ISD

  • Is located in rural South Anderson County, 15 miles southeast of Palestine.

  • Average Daily Attendance (ADA) is 395 Pre-kindergarten through Grade 12.

  • Four computer labs, 200 classroom computers and nearly 400 mobile devices all connect directly to the Internet at 100Mb of throughput.

  • Mobile distance learning equipment offers students and community the ability to connect to other learning centers.

  • Eligible juniors and seniors participate in the dual credit college program at Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) whereby students earn high school honors credit and college credit. The district provides transportation, fees, and books.

  • Elementary, Junior High, and High School students compete in University Interscholastic League academic and athletic events.

  • High School students have the opportunity to be involved in FFA and FCCLA, as well as, other various clubs and organizations.
