New drop-off and pick-up system.

Dear Parents,
In an effort to make Slocum ISD an even safer place for all students, we are incorporating the following changes for drop-off and pick-up of students:
1. Students being dropped off before school will need to be dropped off on the west side of the campus, which is located beside the primary building and in front of the elementary PE facility. We have removed parking spaces along the sidewalk in this area and will have staff present before and after school. Students will need to enter the buildings from the south (main parking lot) side and not the side entrance near the elementary PE facility. You will be able to pick up car riders as you pull through this area at the end of each school day.
2. The area directly in front of the school buildings will be closed off to automobiles during the school day. While this may seem like an inconvenience, we want to keep automobile traffic away from areas where students frequently walk during the school day.
3. We will be reserving visitor parking spaces directly in front of the office for parents to use when they are picking up students or visiting the school. We hope to have signs in place soon to mark visitor parking.
Please be patient with us as we implement these changes. We want to make Slocum ISD the safest place possible for your children to attend.
